Been watching News all day with fire now spreading to Tasmania too. The entire nation is on fire except the northern territory and the metros Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. The entire coast line on the south of the continent is ABLAZE.
The fires are huge fanned by Winds stretching to thousands of Kilometers and cannot be put out so all efforts are being made to suppress the fires save lives and assets in that order.
State of emergency declared in Victoria and NSW and army personnel have been deployed, Navy ships are picking up people stranded on beaches and also transporting supplies to displaced population.
It is only 6.00pm now in sydney and the worst is yet to come around midnight we are told by experts.
Record temperatures of almost 50 degrees centigrade have been recorded in many areas.
Never seen the sky so red and angry except during dust storms. We are all virtually sitting ducks at this point of time.
The last time I was glued to the TV all day like this was when 9/11 happened.
Only thing that can save the nation is heavy rains and that is not on the cards until mid February..

Bush Fire Update: yesterday was predicted to be the hottest day ever touching 50 deg Temp with midnight causing more disastrous fires.
Temperature has fallen and the winds not so fierce giving firefighters a small break a desperately needed breather. What is to be understood and appreciated at this juncture is that Aussies are fighters and most socially conscious population and will stand up and fight and that is exactly what has been done since 21st Nov 2019.. Just like India experiences the SW and NE Monsoons every year and some years we have unprecedented cyclones causing severe damage (I remember a ship that ran aground in merina beach) we have bush fires in Australia every year. No one in the world knows more about fighting fires than Aussies with Californians coming a close second. The adopted strategy is to try and put out the fires quickly when it goes out of control then firefighters try to suppress it and contain it. This time round 80 to 120 kilometer winds that keep changing direction has affected fire fighting strategies and the focus is in issuing early warnings and making people evacuate their properties and move to safer zones to save lives when firefighters to their best to save properties where possible. No time for divisive politics and blame games now or talking about climate change or for Australia to seek International Aid.

[13:38, 1/5/2020] Ram: What we are experiencing now is the Mother of all fires that happen once in 100 years. For this bush fire to end Australia needs about 200 millimeters of rain which is unlikely for another two months. The only other possibility is for the fire to burn out meaning there is nothing left to burn in the bush meaning forests.
The last possibility is a Miracle for which need prayers from all over the world.🙏🏻🙏🏻

[22:02, 1/5/2020] Ram: Believe it or not Temperature in Sydney and Adelaide are cool 18 to 20 degrees and Melbourne is 15 Degrees right now. Temperatures are predicted to soar again on Thursday/Friday. Praying hard for Rains
[23:55, 1/5/2020] Ram: 20 Fire fighting experts are coming to Oz from California. Aust Fire fighters have been going to California regularly so this is to say Thank You. Only today I found out that Californias fires are also caused by Eucalyptus tress same as Aust Bush fires.

Nature has been kind and we have a cool change all along the coast line with scattered showers but not enough to put the fires out.
There is a major storm hitting the West Coast of Australia and let's pray this storm moves across to SA, VIC and NSW.
Yes we can put this Australian fires out but how are we going to put out the Fire that has been Ignited in Iran threatening to set the whole world on fire.
Having Fireworks at Sydney Harbour Bridge on New Years Eve to me was a Bad Omen to start with.
